Queen’s Promenade · Blackpool
Portuguese-style stone grilling, served the way it has been for over twenty years: your mains come to the table on a live volcanic stone, and every slice is cooked to the doneness you choose, right where you sit.

The experience
This is the traditional Portuguese way: the kitchen grills your cut, then hands it to you on a 450° volcanic rock set into a wooden board. The room fills with the sound of the sear, and each piece is finished exactly when you say so.
01
Classic steaks, tuna, halloumi — or something rarer: ostrich, wild boar, kangaroo, zebra.
02
450° volcanic rock, carried to your table on its board. The team sets the meat, the sides and the knives in place.
03
Lay each slice on the rock. Seconds decide the result — rare at one end of the table, well done at the other. Help is always close by.
The room
The Stone Grill began as a family restaurant and has served the community for over twenty years since. Dinners run late along Queen’s Promenade, and on Sundays the room looks out over the Irish Sea while the stones come hot.
